The OR1 2025 project conducted and led by dr Nicola Sarandria focused on a quantitative analysis of tumor-associated neutrophils (TANs) on formalin embedded sections of rectal cancer using CD66b and ARG1 immunohistochemical staining. In this book results of the OR1 study are discussed, focusing on new insights on Arginase-1, TANs and Perineural invasion in Rectal cancer. This discussion is combined with stimulating sections regarding the theoretical background of the project.

Nicola Sarandria is a physician, writer, and international speaker. Born in Padua, after earning his degree in Medicine and Surgery and completing several academic programs abroad in the United Kingdom, Switzerland, and the United States, he became involved in the fields of immuno-oncology and freedom of scientific publishing. In 2017, he published A Prayer for the Necromancer, the first novel in the successful The Shinigami Tomes trilogy, awarded the 5-Stars Seal by Readers’ Favorite.
